About Aquaryllis

Dutch Amaryllis Grown In Water Trays

A first in the world of amaryllis: an amaryllis from Dutch soil that is available throughout the year for florist in Europe.

Aquaryllis offers a unique opportunity for you as a florist to create your own arrangements or bouquets.  Aquaryllis bulbs will grow in your shop in a water tray.  This means no soil and will keeps your working space clean.

Grow your own Amaryllis for your own purpose as:

  • Flower arrangement
  • Cut flower
  • Potplant
 

Aquaryllis bulbs are available throughout the year and will be be delivered in a water tray in a cardboard box, size 40 x 60 x 20 cm.

Aquaryllis delivery

The Aquaryllis bulbs will arrive  in a cardboard box which contains a water tray with the bulbs.

Depending on the bulb size you ordered the box will contain 35 (size 26/28) or 27 (28/30) bulbs.

Aquaryllis Growing

Take the watertray out of the cardboard box and fill the tray with 2 cm of water,  this is approx. 5 liters of water.

Place the tray in a light, warm room or in your flower shop (17°C – 23°C).

Aquaryllis arrangement

There is no better way than giving an arrangement with fresh Aquaryllis flowers. This gift will bloom everyone’s live.

Aquaryllis bouquet

Aquaryllis available year round, the Aquaryllis flowers have a long vase life with proper care.
Aquaryllis comes in populair colours and are a very popular cut flower. Medium to long stems (40 to 60 cm).

Remove
Watertray

After the cardboard box arrives in your store remove the water tray out of the cardboard box

Add
Water

Fill the tray with 2 cm of water, this is approximately 5 liters. On the short side of the tray you will see the small holes that determine the water level, these holes service as an overflow.

Start
Growing

Place the tray with the bulbs in a warm room (with light) or in your flower shop. Temperature between 17°C – 23°C. Within a few days the first buds will come out of the bulbs, depending on temperature.

More
Water

Add water 1-2 times a week, depending on the temparature of the room in which the amaryllis bulbs are growing.

Growing
Process

After 1 week the amaryllis bulbs can grow new roots, old roots can deteriorate. This has no influence on the quality of the bulbs.

The
Result

Depending on the usage of the amaryllis, take the amaryllis from the tray when ready to use (between 2 – 4 weeks).
